FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BARBOURSVILLE, VA January 1, 2009— Advanced Center for Physical Therapy is proud to announce that in response to the high demand for physical therapy in Greene County, it has opened a new clinic in Barboursville. The new clinic is located off of Route 29 in the Tierney Shopping Plaza, right next to Best Western and Dunkin’ Donuts.

“This clinic is an extension of our overall mission.” said Jim Schmidt, Advanced’s CEO and founder. “We believe in a total care experience when undergoing physical therapy, and that same day appointments and one on one care can make the difference between feeling better and feeling great.” Jim and his wife Melissa, Advanced’s President, opened their first location in Charlottesville in 2005 and opened the Greene office on a part-time basis in November 2008.

Beginning in January 2009, Advanced’s Greene County clinic will be open full-time. The clinic will provide convenient service to patients in the communities of Greene, Madison, Orange, and Northern Albemarle Counties.  The facility includes: private treatment rooms, high-tech pain relief equipment, use of effective manual therapy and exercise prescriptions, and use of Anytime Fitness, the world’s largest 24-hour fitness franchise.

Advanced Center for Physical Therapy is a locally-owned, family-run business which employs 15 people, including 5 therapists, at two locations in Charlottesville and Barboursville.  Advanced’s mission is “to have happy patients and physicians who would gladly refer their friends and family to our clinic and return if care was ever needed.”  Advanced Center for Physical Therapy plans to continue opening treatment centers at convenient locations in the community to meet the physical therapy needs of the area’s growing population.
